The MOE have acknowledged they don't know how to measure low-frequency
sound.
It has been pointed out to you many times that, because of your inability to
measure low-frequency sound - the predominant sound emanated from turbines,
the noise levels we are subjected to are in extreme excess of what your dBA
measurements yield.
In addition, you take your measurements when conditions are mild, so that
extreme wind levels will not impinge upon your recordings.
Nor will you take into account the cyclical nature of the turbines' noise.
Audible or not, I feel these sound waves immediately upon arrival at home.
They travel right through my body. They disturb my sleep throughout the
night, every night. I will soon be laid off and thereby subjected to these
pulsating sound waves on a constant, continual basis, and my health will
depreciate even further.
The MOE tells me if they find noise levels to be at an intrusive level the
problem will be mitigated.
If itigation is required, why continue to build something that already
works at less than 30% efficiency? Over the past 1-1/2 months, 6 of the 18
turbines in our area have been at a complete standstill, (in the meantime
dumping excess electricity into our backyards), bringing the overall
efficiency of this wind "farm" down to less than 20%. On top of all this, if
mitigation is required to bring noise levels down to an acceptable level, so
that my health will not be affected, so that my sleep will not be disrupted,
so that the impact in the environment will be negligible, at what percentage
will the efficiency then be?
WHY IS THE CONSTRUCTION OF INDUSTRIAL WIND TURBINES EVEN BEING CONSIDERED,
WITH SUCH MISERABLE EFFICIENCY? THE IMPACTS ON OUR HEALTH AND OUR
ENVIRONMENT ARE ALREADY KNOWN; YOU JUST CHOOSE TO IGNORE THEM!
The MOE has told us they are not responsible for health issues.
Dr. Pierpont has told us that elevated levels of endocrines exist in her
patients.
I know that the endocrine system is the communication system responsible for
telling our bodies how many eyes we should have for example, and where those
eyes should be.
I know that banned pollutants such as DDT's, biphenyl A's are responsible
for endocrine disruption.
We have already heard of reports of stillborn, mutated farm animals.
Is it mere coincidence that an expectant mother was rapidly "bought out"
when complaining about urbines in her area?
What do elevated levels of endocrines do to our bodies? What effect will
this have on wildlife, on fish?
YOU DON'T KNOW!
HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY APPROVE FURTHER CONSTRUCTION OF INDUSTRIAL WIND
TURBINES WITHOUT INVESTIGATING THE HEALTH EFFECTS OF LOW-FREQUENCY NOISE ON
HUMANS, ON WILDLIFE?
INDUSTRIAL WIND TURBINES SHOULD GO THE WAY OF DDT'S & OTHER ENDOCRINE
DISRUPTORS; THEY SHOULD BE BANNED!
The MOE has told us they are not responsible for electrical issues. Hydro
One tells me they are not responsible past the point of connection at the
roadside, the wind company tells me to talk to Hydro One; NOBODY WILL EVEN
TOUCH THIS ISSUE!
The MOE tells us they don't have the necessary equipment to measure seismic
vibrations.
I have heard the vibrations from these turbines coming through the ground
from a distance of 20 km.
I have seen killdeer's eggs, frog's eggs that did not hatch.
DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE IMPACT OF SEISMIC VIBRATIONS ON THE EGGS OF CREATURES
THAT LAY ON THE GROUND WILL BE?
DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE IMPACT OF SEISMIC VIBRATIONS ON EXISTING GEOGRAPHICAL
FAULT LINES WILL BE?
The area swept by the 110 metre high 1.65 MW Vestas here in Clear Creek is
an additional 1377 square metres, as opposed to the 100 metre 1.5 MW GE's in
Pt. Burwell. This increased swept area is not even being taken into
consideration when determining setbacks, when building "bigger and better"
turbines. What will the swept area of a 2 MW, 3 MW, 5 MW, 7 MW turbine be?
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE MICROCLIMATE IN OUR LAKES WITH THE SYNERGISTIC
EFFECT OF TURBULENCE FROM MULTIPLE TURBINES?
YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!
If the MOE cannot (OR WILL NOT) be responsible for gaining knowledge on
these issues, knowledge that is available from existing wind farms, HOW CAN
THEY POSSIBLY DETERMINE SETBACKS?
Here, in my backyard:
Purple Martins - gone
Killdeer - gone
Frogs - gone
Tundra Swans - gone
Snow Geese - gone
Canada Geese - confused, soon to disappear - the entire V formation can't
make its way through the turbines which are spaced too close together,
thanks to Dr. Petrie who supports wind energy but did not want the turbines
to destroy his "backyard", so instead crammed them into ours.
Coyotes - lots, they come for the bird kill, and then the hunters come for
them.
NO MORE INDUSTRIAL WIND TURBINES ON LAND.
NO INDUSTRIAL WIND TURBINES IN THE LAKES.
THEY HAVE DESTROYED LIFE, AS I KNOW IT.
THEY ARE KILLING MY BRAIN CELLS.
THEY ARE KILLING ME.
THEY ARE TURNING MY BODY'S CRITICAL ORGANS & BLOOD VESSELS INTO A MASS OF
CARTILAGE AND ELASTINS.
THEY WILL DO THE SAME TO EVERY LIVING CREATURE ON LAND AND IN THE LAKES.
THEY HAVE MADE MY PROPERTY, MY LIFE'S INVESTMENT, COMPLETELY WORTHLESS;
I CANNOT SELL,
I CANNOT GET AWAY.
IN NO WAY DO I SUPPORT THE USE OF MY TAX DOLLARS, THE INCREASES ON MY HYDRO
BILL, TO BE USED TOWARD THE FURTHER CONSTRUCTION OF INDUSTRIAL WIND TURBINES
ANYWHERE.
I HAVE ALREADY PAID WITH MY LIFE.
NO MORE.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS.
I WANT MY LIFE BACK.
